The November 28th Fundraising Event has been Cancelled Due to Death

VANCOUVER, BC – November 11, 2015 — Ethio Abay Development Association of British Columbia (EADABC) announces the cancellation of the November 28th, 2015 fundraising event due to the death of Elleni Gebremichael, a well loved and respected sister.

“Ellen was an angel”, said her uncle Mr. Mekonnen Tedla, Board Member at EADABC. “Her persona transcended many cultures, and had touched many lives. A multitude of friends are shocked by her sudden death, but she will continue to live through her family and friends. We will always keep her in our thoughts and prayers.”

“Elleni was a beautiful, hardworking, and respectful young woman who lived a great life,” said Mr. Kassa Seged Mengesha, PR Director of EADABC. “We have decided to cancel the November 28th, 2015 fundraising event in her honour. She was a passionate soul, who was admired by her family, friends and co-workers.

“Elleni was a respectful young woman, who made an indelible mark on the lives of many she knew”, added uncle Mr. Tedla. “She inspired and influenced family and friends whom she loved and enjoyed so much. She was not only fearless and dedicated, but also strong and fervent in what she believed in.”

“While we mourn the loss of a very good young woman, we also celebrate her remarkable life and hope that it serves as an example to all of us, especially to the young people in our community, to work harder to make their dreams come true”, said Mr. Berhane Kahsay, Elleni’s another uncle. “We would like to thank everyone who attended the funeral services and all those who have comforted us during this difficult time”.

For those who may ask what they can do to honor Elleni, we have a simple request: Live your life to the fullest; Honour your parents; Love your family and friends; and Appreciate your life!
